We offer a wide variety of fair-trade beans from around the world and the freshest, highest quality coffee is our number one goal. All of our pastries & breakfast items are baked in-house by our two full-time bakers. Stop by, have a cup and you'll be hooked.

Cal Java began roasting and brewing coffee in Chico, CA from their flagship location on East Avenue in 1989. Over the years they've traveled to the finest coffee growing regions to bring home the finest beans in the world.

Kona mocha is my go to coffee here, I dream about it. Amazing service, cozy place with the coffee roaster right there. Souvenirs in a nice corner of town. I miss this place now that I don't live in chico anymore. Go here for amazing local home brewed coffee!!!!! Thank you cal java for being awesome.

Cal Java on East Ave is a really nice place for coffee (or tea) and snack at any time of day. Such friendly staff. Wonderful coffee choices and delicious bakery items. I love the little gift items for sale and the atmosphere both inside and out make for a relaxing place to be. The staff know their customers. You're not just a number on a screen. I stop for a quick cup of coffee in the morning and a relaxing cup to unwind in the afternoon. I love this place. I'd give this place an even higher rating if they had gluten free options for my GF friends.
