On 9/9/20 when the skies were dark with smoke, I debated whether or not my scheduled procedure would still happen and I called to confirm that they were able to move forward. When I got to the Center, I was so relieved because the entire staff seemed to know about my unique challenges and just handled them with incredible compassion and understanding. Dr. Bonis and the whole team went out of their way to make this procedure easy! It is important to note that this was a replacement of a pump that has pacemaker type batteries and yesterday's procedure was pump number 4 for me. What I can tell you is that by far this was the most straight forward and pain free surgery that I have undergone. The entire staff is there to help, but I truly felt like they were always concerned not only about the surgical outcome, but also wanted to make sure that I was comfortable and a participant in my overall recovery! I truly know where I will have my next pump replaced! Thank you again to Dr. Bonis and staff!
