in California. In order to provide quality services to the federal agencies, we were in search for more work to keep our fire crews working, physically fit and well trained. This led to our forestry & fire safety work. Our hand crews and engines were performing thousands of acres of prescribed burning and forestry health projects each season, while waiting for the call to assist in the suppression of wildland fires. We added the use of heavy equipment, mulchers and chippers, to perform thinning and fire hazard reduction projects. We are now providing Fire Safety services for large and small landowners to mitigate the threat of wildfires in the wildland urban interface.
