Wineland Walnut

My experience of Scott Wineland is that he is skilled at false friendliness. He gave me the impression that a job I had him quote on was going to take lots of skill and time. Later, he calls to say his crew leader needs an extra guy. Then, when the crew shows up, they have the main part of the job done in 20 minutes and proceed to pad their time by butchering a lot of good wood out of a healthy tree. The third man was busy doing mostly unnecessary work. I made the mistake of trusting them as the experts, but if you care about your trees, don't leave the job site. Or better yet, hire a cheaper tree service, then direct their every move. When I complained to Scott about the high cost for so little work and my outrage at the damage to my tree, he complained about his costs of doing business in California. I checked with a state-certified competitor, and their price for half a day, more trucks, and a bigger crew was less! The only good thing I'll say is that the crew leader did a fine job on the tree he worked on, hence one star.
