I also did not have a great experience at this center. Just as one of the previous comment mentions, we chose this place because of Heather's experience as a Special Ed teacher. We only took our child for over a year but did not expect things to end the way they did. In the beginning, we were very happy. The center has cameras, which made us feel secure about our child's safety and an app that tells you about your child's day. Although, a couple months ago our thoughts and feelings started to change about this place. Heather was telling us our child had many behavioral challenges and we even had meetings to come up with a plan to help him at home and school. We were always being told what our child had done, but not what was happening before hand. As someone who has some knowledge in Child Development, there is an action or event that happens prior to the acting behavior. Many times I would ask what was happening before the behavior. When asking questions I would get responses that sometimes another child was provoking my child and sometimes it was the other way around. I thought to myself how is this happening & why is staff/teachers letting it get to that point. As a concerned parent, I started seeking services to help with my child's behavioral issues. I was able to get a behavioral specialist to visit them in the classroom once a week to help coach and guide their interactions with peers. After we started services, I was getting positive feedback from professionals and was told my child was not the only one displaying disruptive behaviors. I was also told that the teachers could do a better job during transitions and be more involved with the children. At the same time I noticed a lot of new faces in staff. Parents were never notified about a new staff member. We would drop off/ pick up our children to a stranger's face. This was an indication that the center was experiencing a high turnover rate with the teachers. In the last week my child attended, we had no idea this would be their last week, it was the last straw for us. As a parent, you have a gut feeling when things are not okay and my intuition was right. During that last week, a couple concerning events happened that couldn't be explained. When I asked Heather about the incidents, she was quick to point a finger to the teacher who saw the incident. Although later, I found out that the same teacher told my husband she did not see what had happened. There was inconsistencies about what had happened when my child was injured. I was told by one teacher it was caused by another child. Then when I asked Heather, she said my child had fallen/tripped on their own while racing with the other child. When I asked my child, they told me the other child had caused it. This, as well as previous incidents, could have been avoided if staff had more supervision over the children. On the last day my child attended, Heather and I had a conversation, in which I felt she was being very defensive and said inappropriate/ unprofessional things to me about my child in front of my child, staff and children. I was planning to file a complaint to Community Care Licensing, but another parent had already done so. This came as a surprise but definitely validated our concerns. We were not the only family experiencing this. After the investigation was completed, I was disturbed to read that Heather denied failing to make injury reports, because she did fail to make those reports to me and truly did not provide me with straight facts about my child's injury and another incident that happened. As soon as issues started arising they should have been addressed within the staff and not let it affect the children. Clearly, things got out of hand and the center started to have less structure and supervision. I hope Heather learned from this because I think her intentions are good but she also needs to take accountability and responsibility for her mistakes as a director directing staff and provide them with the appropriate resources.

Heather and her staff are amazing. We have been at this daycare since they have opened and have no plans on leaving until he goes to school. I am really surprised to see a negative review about this daycare.. in response to this "claim" I have some things to say. They have never been understaffed. Parents are supposed to provide their child a water bottle since covid. It seems this parent wasn't prepared. Things happen at daycares with other children. My child has got some bumps and given some bumps but that's expected when you have so many toddlers learning how to control their emotions.. however I have always been fully informed of what is going on and what happened. Sometimes parents need to understand that their children are not perfect and it's not always "everyone else." This daycare literally has an app that allows you to see every time the children are fed, have potty breaks, read a story.. etc. the children are fed healthy meals and even have their own garden to get things. Heather has refunded us before without asking. She is definitely not trying to "take anyone's money" she takes pride in what she does and loves the children like her own. She has helped me out immensely and have taught me things that we use everyday. ie..There is no "being bad" in her center, it's you made a red choice, how can we make it a green choice? Also there have not been multiple "incidents" at this day care. If anything she over reports herself to make sure she is fully compliant.
Do your own research visit the center and get to know the staff and see how the children are loving their school. If there were all these other parents complaining I'm sure their would be more negative reviews.- helpfull 0
