We felt we were misled on a recent glass tile project by Tile Guys (Sean Copple). The price was full retail, and we found Sean's name on the Tile City website in Chico. Glass is expensive, we really wanted a professional job. Glass also takes a special blade and/or technique to cut to prevent chipping of the color pattern on the back of the individual tiles. Sean told us multiple time he knew the technique, and not to worry. In reality, Sean did not know how to work with glass tiles, misled us, and we now have exactly 23 tiles with chipped color backgrounds. Sadly I was out of town during this phase (a 4k tile master bath reno) and my spouse settled the bill, though reluctantly. Sean came back out when I complained, though he offered little tangible solutions and again misled us in saying this is a common issue with glass. True with homeowner installs, but not with professionals. I've spoken with several professionals and Tile City about the issue- there are clean ways to do it or glass would not be so popular. Sean left after an hour of attempting a repair (according to my neighbor), though he didn't replace the chipped tiles. Instead trying to shoot caulking behind the tiles- another poor technique. We're very disappointed as we paid for a pro and got a handyman. Please consider this if you are going to hire them.
