Atomic General Engineering

Atomic General Engineering was instructed by me and the Town of Paradise to construct an asphalt drainage swale (gutter) directly adjacent to Pentz Road in the existing drainage path. Once the Pre-final base inspection by the Town of Paradise was complete and worked substantially as intended after a light rain, the swale (gutter) base needed only a minor adjustment prior to the installation of asphalt. I advised Issac of this required base adjustment. After the previous approved inspection, Issac demolished the entire swale (gutter) design, and instead constructed a sheet-flow design and installed the asphalt without the Town of Paradise approval or re-inspection. Debris is now collecting on the sheet-flow surface because the drainage lacks sufficient flow velocity to carry debris downstream. Issac also disregarded all the painted asphalt limit-lines, which now requires excluded areas to be saw-cut out and debris hauled away. Please do not use Atomic General Engineering for any base and asphalt work as it seems he does not know what he is doing. If he had listened to the Town of Paradise and me, the owner and Architect, he would have had a successful asphalt installation. I am now having to contract with another contractor to repair the substandard work provided by Atomic General Engineering. I will do whatever is required to recover the repair costs.
