I am so disappointed in this establishment and doctor. My first (and only) visit to this place was about 4 years ago when I was in my mid thirties. My general practitioner had just retired and I simply needed a new doctor on record for "just in case." My mom goes to Dr. Williams so naturally I followed her lead. She did warn me about a few things beforehand. I will never forget my first appointment. The place was dirty, overcrowded, and they take walk-ins before your scheduled appointments. Once I was called in for my "check up" after waiting over an hour, the doctor sat behind his weird laptop and barely looked me in the eyes. He ordered a blood panel and that was that. Again, I'm in my thirties, healthy, exercise regularly, and my blood panel came back excellent. I NEVER get sick and really had no reason to return.
Fast forward four years later and I just recently turned 40. I decided I should head back to the doctor for updated bloodwork and just a general check up. Again, still healthy, never sick, exercise almost daily, etc., etc. I immediately decide that I will no longer see Dr. Williams and make an appointment with a new physician, however, she cannot see me until late September. No biggie. I continue scheduling my other appointments--one of which included my first mammogram. Everyone who knows me knows how scared I am of doctors, hospitals, and I was especially nervous about my very first mammogram. I make the appointment at The Breast Care Center (lovely place by the way) and I discover it's not as bad as I imagined! However, a few days later I
receive a phone call that they need me to come back in for additional evaluation because they see something suspicious in my left breast. Of course, I panic. I spend the next few weeks thinking worse case scenario. I am not sleeping. I am anxious, nervous, sad, and emotional for weeks. FINALLY the day of my appointment arrives and I receive a phone call from The Breast Care Center just hours before my appointment stating they have to cancel my appointment because Dr. Williams refuses to sign off on my diagnostic mammogram!!! Excuse me?!!!! What?!! Why?!!! Apparently he wouldn't sign off on it because I had not been into his office for a check up in years. I've NEVER heard of such a thing. I was young, healthy, and never needed a doctor for anything. Of course, I panic and the receptionist from the Breast Care Center was lovely. She helped me calm down and together we came up with a solution.
My ob/gyn ended up signing off for me and the suspicious spot ended up being a cyst....thank goodness. My point of this review is that this "man" did NOT care. He did not care that I could have had something harmful inside me. He did not care about all the stress and anxiety that I had been suffering from for weeks. I mean, who does that? Why didn't his office simply call me? He had the report for weeks. They even tried to get him to sign stating it was urgent and he still wouldn't sign until I came back in...which would have pushed my appointment back months. Guess what? I am NEVER going back into that place and neither is my family. He has ZERO compassion and is only concerned about your pocket book. No thanks.- helpfull 0

The people at the front desk have always been very nice and pleasant. Dr. Williams is okay, not great, but his nurses are not acceptable in their professional behavior. I've never really liked his nurses because none of them have shown much compassion. Just recently, I called in about one of my prescription medications and followed up by personally walking in my paperwork from Immediate Care were I was seen previously when the office was closed. I also brought in my empty prescription bottle for them to take down the correct information. The nurse that I met with was very rude and dismissive to me. They were furious that I had called them out. Still, the prescription was filled incorrectly when I picked it up from CVS pharmacy that same day. I then left a message with his nurse telling her that I would make an appointment with the doctor to let him know what is going on since you cannot speak with the doctor personally over the phone or even leave him a personal message. I then called the front desk to make an appointment, and this particular receptionist wondered why I needed to see him since I'd just been there 4 weeks prior. I came unhinged. I explained to her in a very heated manner that I had to speak with the doctor himself to give him the correct information regarding my prescription; that the nurses were not getting the information straight. She knew I was very upset, and for good reason. I'm so frustrated and pissed. I think some of these people need to have something happen to them, and experience personal frustration, fear and anxiety, to understand. Maybe they would be empathetic and maybe not. By the way, notwithstanding first-hand knowledge about the prescription refill, having handed them the information in person, the nurses still did not take any personal responsibility. If they don't like me, that's fine. I don't have much respect for them either. At any rate, I've noted on my calendar to find a new doctor at the end of the year. The doctor I have researched is booked six months out. I'll wait.
