Apothecary Options

Always so helpful when you need a compounding pharmacy. They even call you to see if you need a refill when you are getting close. Be prepared tho...you cannot go in for pick up.

Completely incompetent staff and pharmacists aren't any better. Lie about not receiving refill authorizations when I know for a fact they have. Also don't understand Code Law regarding filling of prescriptions. They also make mistakes in compounding and can't even get dosing correct. Does 100mg = 1g? To them, it does. Is this the pharmacy you want compounding your Rx? Have never dealt with a more unprofessional pharmacy in my life.

Response: Just to be clear, I never asked for my prescription to be mailed out of state. I asked to pick it up when I was there at my second residence in CA. You also were incorrect in stating that you had not received the auth for my refill when I am 100% certain you did as your own staff actually called me and told me it was received. As a physician myself, I'm fully aware of Code law regarding the filling of prescriptions and I never asked anyone to break code law, only to follow it. So, if the Rx is prepared as 100mg/ml and the patient is told to apply 1g/day, wouldn't most people who know that there are 1000mg in a gram apply 10 ml/day??? Why would you instruct a patient to apply 1g when the syringe is demarcated in mls?? Isn't this almost like telling someone with a prescription of pills to take a teaspoon of medication?
I'll get my prescriptions elsewhere from now on. Just because someone is in business 18 yrs doesn't necessarily mean you have excellent customer service. I have had multiple "issues" with your office staff previously and I have only now felt compelled to post a review based on this last experience.
