Chico Christian Preschool

This is the best school in Butte County! Great, loving, credentialed teachers. The principal is amazing. Teachers work with parents to create a structured, loving, Christ-centered environment for our children to learn in. I really feel they have assisted me in raising my child to be a quality human-being. They support parents in educating the whole child. Not just the academics. There is so much to growing up and every teacher there is dedicated to their students. I have never seen so much individualized attention and care. The teachers truly love our kids. My son has a learning challenge that affected his ability to read and they have worked with us to overcome that. They have a great after-school program that my son, who is 10, requests to go to on a regular basis. We don't need it, but will let him go here and there at his request. Class sizes are small, on purpose. We had 19 kids in our 3rd grade class last year. They have art as part of the curriculum. Music is in all grades. It is amazing what this school does on less than 1/2 of the budget of a public school.
PE is part of their week as well.

The cost of the school is definitely something that a family has to budget for. It is approximately $4K per year with some incidental costs. My husband and I feel it is worth every penny and gave up "extras" that we really didn't need. We forfeit out of town family vacations right now. The value that we get for sending our son here is worth it for us. He is excelling in this school and becoming a good steward in a wonderful environment. The other parents are great as well. We have developed friendships and our son has developed friendships that will last a lifetime. No child is left behind. All children are accepted and loved!

Some families have parents/grandparents that will pitch in and help the parents out with the cost, which is really neat. So if you are thinking you can't afford something like this, re-think that. What are your priorities? What can you cut? Would your children benefit enough to do this? Since we started going to this school, preschool by the way, we have decided every year a resounding YES! If you can't do it financially yourselves, check with parents/grandparents. You might be surprised to find that they agree enough to help you with this. It's hard to raise kids and it is so nice to have some support from a school like this one and their amazing teachers!

Our seventh grader has been at Chico Christian since age 3 (preschool) and is flourishing. Our fifth grader continues to grow and develop nicely as he is challenged to become more responsible. We also have a 4 year old at the preschool that will start in Kindergarten next year.

We couldn't be any more pleased with the spiritual training, educational excellence and personal touch. I highly recommend CCS!
