Enloe Ear Nose & Throat

BEWARE---NO PRICE TRANSPARENCY!!! I received a hearing test, which Enloe ENT required before they would take me as a new patient. I just received my bill and they charged me $1,176 for a 30 minute hearing test and $508 to see a NP to check my ears for 10 minutes and recommend putting olive oil in my ear for tinnitus. How is this legal?????? This is extremely unethical. I called around Chico and the highest price I was quoted was $65. It's free at Costco!!! I spoke with Enloe Billing and apparently, in the 30 minutes I had my hearing test, they performed 3. One being $694 and the other two $241 each. She said I should have called them before to get an estimate. How would I have known what tests they were going to do to get an accurate quote????? I would just assume that the my one office visit wouldn't cost more than my mortgage payment. I called the Enloe ENT office and they don't even know how much the hearing tests are in their own facility. I've never heard such nonsense. Do yourself a favor and go to a smaller practice with ethics and transparency. Enloe is getting out of hand.
