Green on the Go

WOW. This cute little food card is incredible. If you are looking for a quick bite that is natural, organic and healthy (and did I mention mouth watering?) then this is the place. It's located on the corner in front of the Wildcat WREC center at Chico State. The owner (who works the cart) is an awesome guy, wanting to give the community of Chico an affordable healthy option for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The menu consists of fruit parfaits with organic yogurt and granola and many toppings to choose from. He buys his produce from local farmers and Chico Natural Foods, which I think is great. He also offers cups of sweet fruit, organic fruit juices, different salad combinations with killer dressings and toppings, and gourmet sandwiches and burritos. I had the chicken sandwich a few days ago and it was incredible. Packed with avocado, nut-less vegan pesto, fresh and colorful tomatoes, the most tender and perfectly marinated chicken, sautéed veggies and garlic... YUM. You cannot go wrong with this cart.
