Katarra was absolutely amazing every step of the way, from prenatal to visits, to the labor and delivery itself, to the postpartum visits. She was so incredibly supportive and knowledgeable, flexible while maintaining safety, and always brought such a calming presence. During the delivery, we were able to have the water birth experience I had hoped for. Katarra also is capable of providing necessary medical interventions such as sutures, pitocin (for retained placenta), etc. She is highly skilled! I hope to be able to have another homebirth with her if we have another baby.

We chose Katarra as the midwife for the homebirth of our second child because of her experience, people-skills, relaxed easiness and sense of professionalism. She not only guided us through the transition of becoming parents a second time, talked me through my short but intense labor AND was able to help me breastfeed my baby after she caught our baby's tongue tie with her Lactation Consultant skills. She is very skilled, knowledgable, enthusiastic and funny and also gives all of her patients prenatal massage along with their visits-(because she's also a Licensed Massage Therapist)! We highly recommend her services and Luna Madre Midwifery. I'm glad we have healthcare providers like her in Chico!
