Parents and children value my creative approach to music lessons. For young children I use a variety of games, cut-outs, and movement-based activities alongside the method book suitable for the student's level in order to help them stay engaged and excited. My teenage and adult students appreciate my experience as someone with a Master of Music degree in composition and how I incorporate music theory, musicianship, and composition alongside their favorite pieces.

My personal experience as a trumpet teacher started in 2013. I started teaching piano as well in 2018 while I pursued my master of music degree in composition at San Francisco Conservatory of Music. After 3 years teaching at different professional music studios, I chose to focus on my own

My kiddo really loves music, she plays other instruments and was excited to learn piano. She has been very happy with Roxanne, in less than a year she has made great strides with her piano playing. Roxanne also teaches music theory and makes the lessons fun and engaging. My daughter looks forward to her lessons with Roxanne every week.

I am an adult music student with many years of guitar and composition studies. I started taking piano lessons with Roxanne to learn jazz improvisation. I love the way she breaks down concepts in a way that I can make measurable progress. She even started helping me start trumpet in our lessons. It's def my favorite part of the week, and I end each session very inspired and energized to work towards my goals, which I think is the biggest thing I look for in a teacher!
