Allstate Insurance Agent: Sonia Aery

I just bought a new car and knew I had to go through Sonia's Allstate agency because she is such a kind and trustworthy person. I typically get overwhelmed when researching insurances and this was not at all the case this time. Sonia went above and beyond to get me the best price possible and to meet my many needs for both auto and renters insurance. It feels great to know I can trust my agent to always act in my best interest and to treat me with patience and kindness. I feel confident in the plans we selected and can tell how much she truly cares about her clients. I don't even live in Chico anymore, but I knew I wanted an insurance agency that I could rely on. Highly recommend.

When I was shopping around for insurance and found Sonia at Allstate, everything about the experience was great. She was responsive to emails and addressed all of my issues right away. I had one interaction with Joseph from her office, and that was also positive. Then it all went to !@# when I realized after a few months that I hadn't received a bill for my auto policy. I was unable to login to my account online, for reasons I still don't know, and multiple emails to Sonia and Joseph went unanswered. I called and spoke to the receptionist (didn't catch name) who told me that my policy was cancelled four months ago for non-payment and that emails were sent to me in November and December 2018 (can't find them). I asked to have the policy reinstated and she said "We can't reinstate it because it's been cancelled. We'll have to start a new form." I responded and said just do whatever needs to be done to have the policy active to which she responded by repeating the same statement with an even more rude, annoyed, and condescending tone. She offered no semblance of willingness to help me get this done and certainly didn't seem to care whether they had my business or not. So I said thank you and hung up and then I found another insurance company. Bypass this Allstate branch and go with a company who will actually work for your money or at a minimum, show you some common courtesy.
