Chico Creek Wellness

I have never met or had a consult with this facility, but we had a great phone conversation to get to know each other and at the end I mentioned to her before I scheduled anything that I would be making the choice to wear a mask because she made many insinuations that she didn't believe, for lack of a better term, in the virus. I did not make any comments about her wearing one and she seemed like she insinuated that that was a dumb choice for me to make. I understand everyone has their own opinions about everything happening, but I don't leave the house often and typically just wear one to because I am not aware of everyone's situation around me and their risk levels. To me, it's an easy, basic form of respect but I understand everyone has the right to their own opinion. She asked if I minded if she didn't wear one and I said it's your office, that's your choice but mine will be to wear one. After that, she told me that she wanted to not make an appointment with me right now because of my choice because she is uncomfortable teaching me if I am wearing one.... Again, I don't like bashing or talking trash about people, but this is more of an informative review, I guess. Just wanted to let people know my experience with Chico Creek Wellness as a "mask wearer" (I guess you'd call me that). Pretty bummed because I was looking forward to exploring this option in nutrition.

Several months ago I went to see Dr. Penner for lumbar back pain.

She was much more interested in talking about diet and nutrition (I am a fit 55 year old woman who eats well). After little attention to my spine, she told me she thought my issue was not my spine at all, but due to a "leaky gut".

Turns out I have severe narrowing of left and right lateral recesses with severe encroachment upon the nerves.

Fortunately upon Dr. Penner's advice, I went to my physician who sent me to physical therapy.
