Dr. James R. Engler has been successfully treating patients since 1989. Doc has lived in Chico since 1970, but attended Iowa's Palmer College of Chiropractic where he earned a Doctor of Chiropractic degree. He then moved back to Chico and opened his practice at 676 E. 1st Ave where he has been practicing since 1986. Dr. Engler has a passion for the healing and correct function of the body. May 22, 2020Medically speaking he is a very good chiropractor, however he was extremely inappropriate! he made lots of comments about me not wearing a bra, and comments about my weight. He also constantly boasted about him self and how good of a chiropractor he was, which was very off putting. Once i fired him as my doctor he personally called me to have me explain why i was leaving, and i was not comfortable so i gave a generic answer, and then he was very forceful on making me tell him why. Do not go here is you are a young woman, i did not feel safe or comfortable with him as my doctor.

He knew right where my issues were and had me feeling much better by the time I left. I had a follow-up appointment and another adjustment at that time and have felt great ever since. Highly recommend.
