The Big Room at Sierra Nevada

I haven't been to the Big Room since the other guy retired. His shows were getting stale anyway. I Shannon and the Clams last night with Trox and the Terribles. I thought the Big Room was dead until last night. Great music and crowd. The dining menu was outstanding. I have heard negative response about the new Big Room manager and the music. It couldn't have been further from what I have read. I will see more shows. The new manager deserves alot of credit for bringing this show to Chico. Don't believe what you read about the Big Room. My only complaint is the sound tech. Very unbalanced. Maybe he needs to go back to school.
Great crowd. A mixture of young and older. Keep up the good work. Chico needs shows like this.

Have been attending Sierra Nevada events for years and enjoyed them all, until last night. The band was great, the venue is awesome. There is literally not a bad seat in the place. The buffet however that I purchased along with my ticket was atrocious. Flavorless chicken, over cooked vegetables, hard flavorless rice. It literally tasted like cheap crappy banquet food. I was incredibly disappointed because all of my past experiences with food at Sierra Nevada have been excellent. It felt like a slap in the face to be served obvious crap food. There is no way anyone overseeing this event could call the food good or even acceptable. It wasn't. I saw other people with to go boxes of food they had ordered from the taproom. Smart move on their part. I never thought Sierra Nevada would let me down Serious Bummer
