    buyer beware!! i brought a camera that was offered to me. i was never told about the vivint pro or the feature of recording 24/7. after learning about the pro i called in to see if i can get a discount on the pro cameras since i didn't have to pay for cameras twice... i only had the cameras for 4 months. i was offered $50 off!! wow!! so now im stuck with cameras that i do not need & already paid for. what a waste of $ in these hard times.. and the only advice the rep had was for me to sell them.. really???? i feel it was all intentional! why wouldn't representative tell me about other cameras offered and the features???? i would have purchased the pro from day one!!!

    Approximately three weeks ago an Agent from Vivint was doing door to door sales in my neighborhood which was a good thing since our old alarm system was eight years old and it required a phone line in order to function. The agent showed my wife and I a beautiful video about how the system works ,the easy installation, and most of all the no additional charges for added equipment. Now, Here We GO, He showed me the most expensive package first and the monthly charges for the system $68.98 per month for a 48 month contract. I said, that's a very long time to have a contract with any company. He assured me it was well worth it. So I continued, he stated we would connect into your existing devises at no charge and it comes with a digital keypad, a video camera, two digital temperature controls and a digital door lock system. I asked him there is a lot of equipment that fall under the first package so what about the additional items like the control systems ( lights), the additional key pad , the additional automatic door lock, the key fobs and the smoke detector. He stated, I'm only entitled to a certain amount of money per customer and I asked what is that amount he said, it's not a certain amount but I can work out something .I said, so the extra stuff listed is not part of my package? No, he said, those additional items would be at your cost, but to make me happy he would give me the smoke detector as a bonus. Well, to make me comfortable with the whole deal I would have 72 hours to decide if I like the equipment and cancel with a full refund. I didn't fill at ease at all with the answers he was giving me so I decided to call another salesman and I asked about the different packages. The first package cost $68.98 per month and it comes with over $1,900 of free equipment plus an additional $400 dollar bonus really. I said, could you please send that information over to me please. Everything I asked about in the first package the first salesman told me it would cost me extra money, which was a lie. I call the salesman and asked him why did you lie to me? He stated he has bargaining room for each package. No, I said, the package comes complete as listed with additional $400. You know, he still profess he did nothing wrong. I told him what you did was unethical. You have a legal and a moral obligation to the customer to provide a product that's fair and without prejudice. What you were trying to do is defraud the customer by twisting and turning the truth. He was asked certain questions about what I'm entitled to and you clearly withheld that information to clearly increase your personal commission. I called his supervisor and he clearly stated, "We are allowed to bargain with the prices." I said, Oh really, so I called and placed a complaint with the corporate office and they didn't agree with anything the salesman or the supervisor said. I explained about calling and confirming the information with two additional salesmen to confirm my rights as a consumer prior to making the call to Corporate. The company ensured that I would receive everything that I was entitled to receive with my package at no additional cost. I really like the system, but the salesmen that work the Lancaster, CA area are not to be trusted. Please check online first to ensure you receive what you are paying for.
