I would recommend you stay far clear of Vern SNEED.. All I got was Talk, Talk, Talk. Him and staff had no knowledge of what city requires from owner. He just sends you all over buying time for him. 80% of what he said was not required.

I made a very bad mistake trusting Vern Sneed of Q Cabins/Design Horizons to do what he said he could. He said he would make and install one of his smaller Nautilus Q Cabins for $100k. Price of cabin kit was $56k and it seemed fair to me. So far, I've paid him well over $120k and STILL DO NOT HAVE A CABIN and have also paid other contractors over $34k to complete or fix what I paid him to do originally. He is known as being dishonest amongst other folks I've spoken to and I have also heard the same from people he has worked alongside in the past. I have tried to pry the parts missing from the incomplete Q Cabin Kit to no avail. He acted as if the kit came with an interior when my wife and I sat down with him to design it. That conversation was another lie in order to get more money out of us. Buyer beware! The kit he sells comes with two or three walls and a pile of small sections of metal which must be assembled for the roof, a couple buckets of screws, some windows and doors. The plastic wrap on the walls costs extra, no inside walls, no spiral staircase which he said comes with the kit, no floor... The plans provided are filled with unclear issues and material schedules. He said the foundation would be around $25k but came back after getting a downpayment to say it would cost over $100k!!!! Then, when pressed about wanting money over the cost of the original agreement, he came back with a quote of $275,000 to $300,000 not including the cost of the kit. A far cry from the $100k original quote. I think this guy should be in jail. I found out he has over seven previous lawsuits and a bankruptcy in his past. Unless he pays us back for what he has weaseled out of us, we are taking him to court. In addition, we are going to create a website illustrating and explaining just how bad this guy and his product really is (in our opinion of course). I see he has changed his website to clarify a few misconceptions about his product. Three years ago, when I first started with this dude there was nothing but pretty pictures falsifying what you were going to get for your money. Don't buy anything from this guy is my advice.
