Isom (MIAC) in 1979. Her work in the tax field began there when she transferred to the tax department after getting her audit hours. She worked for MIAC for 11 years then for a medical group for one year, before realizing that public accounting was where she belonged. After nine years with John Powell, CPA, Joan went to work with Dan, because of his emphasis on estate and trust work. She purchased the business from Dan in 2005. Her goal for her clients is to provide a well-rounded tax service, including the accounting process, tax returns, business planning and estate planning.
