Merrell, Irwin, & Associates (previously Stoner and Associates) CPA firm is easily one of the most incompetent and disreputable businesses in Chico. They managed to get our taxes flagged by both the CA Franchise Tax Board and the IRS - and we are both W-2 employees! If you love paying extra fees, having your phone calls go un-returned, then getting charged extra for their work to undo the mess they caused - then Merrell, Irwin, & Associate is your CPA firm! But seriously, like others we were unceremoniously dropped after they screwed up our incredibly simple tax returns. Jenni in particular is one of the most low-integrity people that I have ever have ever had the misfortune to cross paths with. Value yourself, your time, and your money - stay far away from these clowns.
