Payden Womack and his (former business partner) were more harmful than helpful, and took down our network during a critical period. We lost tens of THOUSANDS of dollars due to 120 hourly employees of ours being offline for 8 hours (the employees basically just did nothing and hung out for the time we were down, while being paid). And, most substantially our customer support, as a result of being down, (sadly) suffered immensely as nobody could call in or live chat us - this was most painful as we pride ourselves on great support from our amazing Chico support representatives. And ultimately, they barely apologized for their mistakes and walked away leaving us in a lurch.

We worked with these guys for the build-out of our IT network at our new office and ongoing support of the network. The network we built - both wired and wireless was incredibly straightforward, in fact, even to the extent we didn't even want a firewall. We just needed fiber, to a router, to wired computers and wireless APs. Most businesses want more complexity, this was very simple.

Their mistakes, both when they setup our network, tried fixing it while we were live (while live!) and then what they did on-site, were immense. Most significantly, they didn't test a firmware update before deploying it to a live environment (seems like an obvious thing for an expensive $$ professional to do), bricked a critical network device due to the update they deployed without testing it first, brought us fully down, couldn't figure out how to repair it, we stayed up all night with them too (racing to be done by our morning shift - so we were all exhausted come morning) and then Payden continued trying to find a fix in the morning. These guys didn't even have a few hundred dollar backup device to the device they tried to fix - they should have a backup before doing something so critical.

Most substantially - we learned, after spending thousands with another great Chico vendor to fix their mistakes, that there were mistakes they made when they setup our network to begin with, that the entire thing was not setup properly, efficiently, or correctly for the environment we're in. Where to begin - at a basic level, Jeff Wolff set the max number of IPs on our network at 100. How can that be? We have 120 people, all with smartphones too, so at min we're at 200+ devices on the network. And it costs you nothing in performance, just to set it up 500 or so. How can you be so incompetent - this was so basic, thus frankly it's surprising that he missed this. There were other more substantial things, too.

MISTAKES HAPPEN, and we can forgive people as everybody makes mistakes at some point - but it's how you deal with a mistake that matters. After all the downtime, real substantial money lost by our business, angry unhappy customers of ours who couldn't get in touch with us, and frustrated and tired staff at our company - Logiic quickly (the day of) walked away from us before we could fire them or they could get themselves into more trouble trying to mess with our network (as it still wasn't really fixed - so they just walked away leaving us in a lurch), they still didn't own their mistake over email which was rather shocking to our team, and barely (just barely) apologized. After everything they put us through, how they dealt with the followup and aftermath was the most frustrating and unprofessional.

DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE WE DID! Please, Chico business owners. Learn from our mistake and money lost, do not use these guys until they fix some things about their business or hire better techs.
