Modern Spaces and Sheds

We approached Modern Spaces and Shed with a challenging request to build a very small office (7'x9') in our San Francisco backyard. We'd been turned away from several other companies and contractors who wouldn't build a shed smaller than 10'x12'

Eric was very accommodating and helped design a custom space that was exactly what we were looking for. He conducted a virtual consultation and reviewed photos of the site to understand the constraints of our space and provided visual mockups of the shed design by email. The mockups made it easy for us to discuss changes we wanted to make and to quickly confirm our desired plans.

During the construction phase, Eric's team operated quickly and efficiently and build the entire shed in 3 days time. They were able to match the color of our shed with a fence that had been recently constructed in our backyard. There were a few minor details that needed adjustment after the shed was constructed and Eric diligently came back to address them.

We are thrilled with how the space turned out. It's a great size for our backyard and functions perfectly as a "Zoom room" for taking video calls and working. The quality of construction is fantastic, even better than what we'd imagined it would be.

I've already recommended this company to a few friends who are considering a similar setup.

The shed is even better than I imagined it would be - constructed like a small house right in my backyard. This is not a shed as most people would imagine - I have a pretty nice house and it might put it to shame in everything but square footage. I had some very specific design requirements, including adding a sink and complicated electrical and he basically set it up so I could do whatever I wanted. He worked around the other teams working on the yard, and helped me figure out what we had to do in order to pass the building inspections.

The price was right and the end product is fantastic. Highly recommended.
