After Gabriel Ferrar tried to rip me off by telling me my ring was junk this place told me it was fine. They were honest and I appreciate it.

At first, my experience was a positive one. The staff was very polite and eager to help. However, as I started to place orders for my and my fiance's wedding bands, things became unexpectedly more expensive, complicated, and slightly disrespectful.

When ordering my ring, Nancy and I went over sizes and mm width for my wedding band. She placed the order for my band that was $40 more expensive without contacting me first. It was also ordered .5mm wider. I was in a bit of a time crunch, so I accepted it and let the surprise cost increase go.

When we ordered my fiance's ring, Nancy sized it and ordered it. She sized it incorrectly and it had to be sized by 1/2. When I went to pick it up, there was another surprise extra $50 cost for the sizing. She never mentioned there would be a charge before I picked it up. I was shocked considering it was her sizing error. I got the distinct impression I would not be allowed to take the ring without paying the extra cost. She knew we needed the ring quickly, so I couldn't just say no. I became upset and her justification was that I simply stressed about the wedding. I found that insulting. That the extra cost was not the cause of my tears (I wish I didn't cry when I become angry/frustrated). I was on a lunch break and could not discuss the matter further. She was very unsympathetic and didn't even mention trying to get the cost removed or at least reduced.

When my now husband went into the store to discuss what had happened, the associate who "helped" him was cold and simply said that's just the way things are. The was no room for discussion; there was no attempt at true, caring customer assistance.

An extra unexpected cost of $90 for the rings may not seem like a lot of money to some. It is for us. I feel my situation was taken advantage of by Mundy and Co. At the very least, Nancy should have called to let me know of the increased price of my ring, and should have told us that my husband's band would have a sizing cost before we agreed to the sizing. We were given the impression there was no charge.

I will not be shopping there again.
