We stated in Bob Jessie"s Grandparents chicken coop years ago although the business was really started at home in our garage earlier. The roof would blow off every winter and we wore rain coats inside the building to stay dry. Now we always try to give a person more than what we shake hands on in an agreement.

This place is still the best auto shop in Chico to take your car. Period. They are no frills, honest and dependable. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly and the mechanics are experienced. It's been here in Chico for many years. They don't have shuttles or loaner cars that I'm aware of, nor do they have bottled water or snacks. In lieu of those things, they literally charge half the price you'd pay anywhere else in Chico and take it from me, I know this from experience!! I've done my research. It's hard to find a place that's experienced and uses *quality parts* but also is fair and honest. Usually you get one or the other, but at Payless Auto you get both.

They did a great job for what I took my pickup in for!!! My Only complaint is they did not put a protective sheet down on floor carpet mat.... Left black dirty grease boot smears all over drivers side floor mat... Will have to take it to a car wash, use carpet cleaner, scrub it several times to get it clean!!!! Should not have to do this!!!
