We specialize in finely crafted custom homes and structures. We are known for our attention to detail and artisan craftsmanship. We offer traditional mortise and tenon timber framing which has proven to be one of the most durable ways to build with wood. There are timber framed structures in Europe

History

Klamath Construction was established in 2008 by Dillon Creasy. At first he stayed busy with mostly remodels, additions and decks. Feeling a little uninspired with conventional construction, in 2013 he attended a 3 week EcoNest training in Ashland, Oregon. The training involved timber framing and light clay straw wall construction.

Assembling the bents of the timber frame before raising it.

curved timber joined to square, Focused joinery.

Salvaged gym floor planks installed in art studio. This is the floor I played high school basketball on.

Mortises on a primary post, lots of beams and braces coming in to this one.

Roof framing on custom home, no factory trusses on this one.

Natural post set on stone. This is the entrance to the house.

All the timbers were milled on site, and then we planed them and cut all the joinery.

Engineered hardwood flooring install and baseboards.

Front porch and stairs built with reclaimed cedar and redwood.

The ceiling is pine tongue and groove installed vertical over purlins to give it more dimension, more character.

Timber framed sauna with wood chip/ clay walls. Notice the pegs sticking out, this is traditional mortise and tenon joinery, no metal.

Post scribed to stone. Ancient technique used in Asia.

Bathroom addition with walk in tub. We completed every aspect on this job except for the electrical.

Finely crafted joinery. These mortises had to be absolutely square, quite the challenge when working with natural timbers.

It would not be possible to more highly recommend a builder then Dillon Creasy of Klamath Construction. Dillon is a highly dependable master of craftsmanship and was incredibly tuned in to the specific needs of our family. The experience of working with Klamath construction was miles beyond other contractors that we have worked with in the past. All of Dillon's hard work and dedication resulted in our dream home becoming a reality. I still pinch myself sometimes to know this is for real :)
