Attorney Micheal Rooney

I hope some will read my review.

How come the stars don't have negative signs for this Attorney at Arms?

Introduction:

For those who don't know, reviews can be purchased or created amongst peers of those persons or firms being reviewed. Therefore, I am basing my review on the bias.

Mr. Rooney is a smooth talker and was very convincing before the firm's retention. After that not so compelling. I hired Mr. Rooney thinking he was the attorney of representation. He was not. I was handed off to two other attorneys who left his firm before utilizing Mr. Rooney himself, without any progression in my case. This went on for nine months. When Mr. Rooney finally took over the case after constituent failure (attorneys who quit Rooney's Law Firm), he became arrogant and unprofessional. In his calm demeanor, he is very insulting.

Support:

When my case finally made it to court, Mr. Rooney failed to appear in person, which is acceptable, via the Court Call System. Mr. Rooney reflected very little attention to the proceedings. I was on the court call also from a different location. After hearing other attorneys that utilized the call system, they were clear and cognitive without any distractions. Mr. Rooney, while driving his car with background noise from the vehicle, represented me with little clarity of his speech over the background noise.

Issue:

I was made aware of some typos that needed to be corrected. As my representing lawyer, I assumed this was a minor issue to update. However, Mr. Rooney requested an additional minimum retainer of $1500.00 (Money, as his motivator) to correct and refile a judgment, better known as a Request to Amend the Judgment.

Conclusion:

If you value your time, some attorneys will work for you instead of against you. I wrote all my issues out. I directed his two previously assigned attorneys. In conclusion, at the end of the day, as you will hear Rooney say repetitively. My case was never resolved to the extent I was led to believe, so If you are looking to hire an unprofessional car salesman, Rooney's your man. If you need an attorney, look elsewhere.

From the correspondence with Mr. Rooney, regarding a simple inquiry- I found him extremely unprofessional, rude and down right threatening. I would want to be paying someone I could trust to be professional and at the very least kind. I would not recommend any services from this office.
