I only wish it could be more than 5 Stars!

After driving past so many times, it was my lucky day when I finally wandered into Lovene's. Where to look first was the big question. I was greeted by the owner, Jaime, who is a very 90 years young. Meeting her made this all the more special. Likely Chico's longest running vintage, collectable, secondhand, thrift clothing, trinket, tchotchkes (Yiddish for knickknacks), shoes, and Lovene's own labeled and custom-made clothes repurposed by Jamie's own artistic hands. Oh, wait, yes artwork too. Amazing collection of hats. Cashmere sweaters. The list goes on. This is a true Chico and Explore Butte County landmark. For anyone looking who loves thrift and in need of that something extra special - collectibles and Jamie - this is the only place to be.
