Dr. Westpahl operated on me earlier this week. Before the surgery, he took the time to really explain what was going on, what different test results meant, what my options were, and helped me make the decision regarding my treatment that I feel is the best one. The surgery went well. Afterward, he and his office helped me work through an issue with a smaller local pharmacy I had been using to adjust my pain management, and responded quickly, and caringly, getting me in to see the doctor when I was worried about some swelling. I feel very confident in his medical skills, and just a very helpful, really nice guy. I would recommend him to anyone. I had a great experience all around.

Dr. Westphal did not bother to read my factual narrative of vascular symptoms, much less the peer-reviewed articles describing the type of auto-immune vasculitis I appear to have. He actually said to me that figuring out my vascular problems is "above his pay grade". He treated me like a hostile witness to my own body, and then dismissed my concerns. Total waste of time and money.
