Batteries Plus

Beware! They broke my wife's phone. My wife's phone battery was running down too quickly and needed to be charged in the middle of the day.  It always took a full charge and the phone functioned perfectly otherwise.  That is until I had Batteries plus in Chico replace the battery.  The new battery did not improve the situation at all. So I took it back and asked them to honor their 30 day money-back warranty. They tried to blame the problem on how my wife used the phone; bluetooth always, background apps running, etc.  But she was using it in the same way she always had.   I left it with them so they could put the old battery back in. They never called to say it was done. So I went in 5 hours later to check on its status and they said they couldn't do anything to it without the phone's password. They didn't think to call me or check the paperwork from the repair order.  They said the guy who put the new battery in was off that day and he would need to take care of it.  So I left it there with the password. On my way home, in another town, they called and said it was ready.  The next day when I picked it up, they said they just left the new battery in and refunded my money.  When I plugged the phone in to charge, I kept getting a message saying the charging stopped because the phone was too cool.  It was 78 degrees in the house at the time. I even warmed it up a little with a hair dryer. After researching this problem for this phone, I learned they likely didn't reconnect the Inductive charger properly when they reassembled the phone. The phone is now a brick!!! I will give them another chance to fix it and update this review.

I would give this review a 0 rating if it would let me. My husband and I bought a warrantied auto battery that we had issues from the first. It kept going dead and we would bring it back and they wouldn't warranty it for us and honestly don't really trust their batteries anyway. Our mechanic told us the battery was no good, and Batteries Plus keeps saying it is good that it needs a full charge that takes 2 days. This store in Redding sells defective items and won't honor the warrenty. Out of total frustration, we went elsewhere and got a new auto battery for our car. We will never shop at their store ever again and we will make sure none of our friends or family members shop there either. The WORST customer service ever. They do not value the customer.
