Cedar Grove Apartments

These apartments are extremely over priced and only cater to the old or elderly. You are not allowed to make any noise whatsoever night or DAY. They also have an on-leash policy which is hardly enforced unless you have a bigger dog then heaven forbid it to ever happen again! Their pool is a joke not to mention their laundry room. If there is an issue with another tenant hope the landlords like you better because they're very one sided. Just an all out unreasonable place to live unless you're an elderly lady with a small dog and doesn't mind your obnoxiously loud upstairs neighbor's kids stomping and jumping on your ceiling while their mother does nothing but complain about your noise level then by all means apply. They only got the one star because you sometimes see deer grazing, if it weren't for that they'd get a 0! Hope this helps make up your mind :)

As a follow-up to my 8/22/13 review, on 9/7/13 we received a check for $60 from the apartment owner with no written explanation for the refund. I would assume that she did not check our credit or references, since the refund was for the total amount we paid for the screening fees. I learned that when applying for apartments in the future, I will always ask for a receipt with an itemization of what the application fees will be used for. Today was exactly one month since we saw the apartment and were told by the on-site manager that we'd receive a phone call from the owner within 48 hours. The communication from this business was very poor, so it is important to get everything in writing and follow the previously mentioned publication from the CA Dept of Consumer Affairs entitled CALIFORNIA TENANTS - A GUIDE TO RESIDENTIAL TENANTS' AND LANDLORDS' RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Revised July 2012.
