Putney's Custom Machine

I ordered some parts from these guys as part of an engine rebuild and it was a bad experience. They don't have any integrity when it comes to what they are selling and won't stand behind their faulty parts.

In short, I used their parts on a rebuild only to find that some of them didn't work. I had to pay the mechanic to tear the engine apart, remove the faulty parts, replace them with parts from somewhere else and Putney's took no responsibility for the cost of having to redo the work. Their stance was, "we will warranty the parts but not labor." I don't understand how you don't warranty the cost of having to remove your broken parts from a newly rebuilt engine because they don't work. They were full of excuses and offered replacement parts. Why would I order more garbage parts from you that come with the risk of having to rip apart the damn engine?

I put parts in from another supplier and the engine is running like a champ now. I came to these specifically because of their experience with the 22re engine but Jerry was a total piece of trash and I won't order a damn thing from these guys again.

I was contacted today by one of the guys. He sent a photo of my bead blasted engine block and main bearing caps, plus he advised they'd be beginning the work this week; wooohooo! I'm sure glad I put my deposit down back in August because the lead time is purrrty long. I'm really looking forward to receiving the finished product.
