Verizon

I was charged $39.99 for a set up of my new phone. I could have done it myself had I known I was being charged. I was informed of the $35 activation fee that is charged anytime you get a new phone but not that I was being charged $39.99 for the associate to take my phone out of the box!!!
They must work on commission at these stores..
truly feel like I was scammed out of $40!! I will never go to this store ever again. after I paid, had to ask for a receipt and I know why. dude really didn't want me to see he had charged me $39.99 for literally him taking phone out of box and putting my phone no in to it. When I saw the charge for $39.99, I was pissed and rightfully so.
I was never once told or informed there would be a $39.99 charge for set up. Since when dId these phone stores start charging a set up fee when u are buying a $1200 phone? I have never ever paid a fee like that. And I never will again and I surely will never go to the Verizon store in Chico on Mangrove Ave!!!

The battery on my old iPhone recently expanded and pushed open the case. I took my phone to Verizon, hoping to fix it. Jose, who I believe is the store manager, told me that the battery was bad and could possibly explode. He explained my options for a new phone clearly, not trying to upsell me. He then proceeded to transfer all my information from my old iPhone to the new one, wiped the data from my old phone, found the correct chargers, case and cover for my new phone, all the time clearly explaining my options. He was a pleasure to deal in and I would recommend him to anyone. Thank you Jose!
