Prestige Assisted Living at Chico

I am giving them a generous 2 rating because many of their employees are caring people trying to do their best. If you live there or put a loved one there, be aware that there will be rent raises every year of around $100 per month. The meals are not "restaurant quality" as mentioned in their ad. They are bare bones with no condiments on the table, and not many choices.
Pink lemonade only if you are in memory care.
There is no mid-level supervision at the facility. There is only a manager and the workers. A routine of any sort is not noticeable. The ratio of residents to worker is 20 to 1, so unless you are the squeaky wheel, you will not get much attention. The med-techs do not receive enough training. They rely on what is in the computer to administer prescriptions, and the information is not always up to date. And the ad showing the folded laundry is a joke. Sheets and towels disappear. Clothing gets mixed up and sent to the room in a basket, not even put away. They try to operate with a minimal cleaning staff. Rooms are not patrolled or checked regularly. The heat and air units are old and impossible to regulate. Residents have trouble operating them. I could go on. There is just no common sense in the way this facility is run. There will be lies told to get you in there, so get everything in writing and caveat emptor.

The management is horrible not there for the staff. There is no team work in this place. It's dirty and out dated. Needs a huge over haul.
