    a money trap.
I moved into these apartments in summer of 2020 and I'm unfortunately still here. at first it seemed like a really great deal especially for two beds and two baths and with the beautiful courtyard. it has just progressively gotten worse.
when I moved in it seemed nice enough for the area I could look past the hair that had been painted over on the walls and the trash ridden pool area but since the first property manager Brooke left it's all been downhill.

    the wash room
the laundry room has 4 washers and 4 dryers that each break down basically every couple of weeks yet have never been replaced and every winter the ceiling floods and there is a giant dripping hole cut in the ceiling that will be left open for weeks.

    the grounds
the bedroom windows are up against the parking lot and anyone can wander in and right up to your bedroom window. if you bring a bike here it will get stolen in a matter of weeks. I've caught people standing outside my window try to peek in several times. to make matters worse, they have done things such as putting up fake cameras, or signs saying there were cameras but when I asked for them to send footage of the person outside my bedroom to the police they wouldn't do it. the courtyard used to be beautiful but lately it's been riddled with trash and overthrown by a village of stray cats and their fleas.

    maintenance
maintenance will do anything not to actually fix something. in my 4 years the only thing that has been replaced in the apartment were my light switches a couple months ago terry specifically is the worst. if he comes into your apartment it will smell like feces for the rest of the day and he won't actually fix anything. the worst situation was when there was a leak in my bathroom ceiling that caused the paint to swell into a giant bubble. terry came in and cut a 1 foot square hole above my shower head and told me that there wasn't actually a leak but rather my upstairs neighbor flooded their bathtub and then he left the open hole there for over three weeks. during that time water would drip from the hole every time someone in the above bathroom flushed or ran water. I had to call for a week straight before his supervisor came to fix it.
they have come by every year to check the air filters but never return with the new ones they promised so I've had to replace them myself each time. most disturbing though is that once a maintenance person walked right into my apartment unannounced and made it to the hallway before realizing he was not supposed to be there and management basically told me to get over it even though this guy tried to run off without saying anything.
once there was a fire on the balcony above mine and I was not notified at all and then when people came to repair it they asked me to take everything off my porch so it wouldn't get damaged but then when I came home from work they had decided to use my porch as storage for their supplies meaning that I would wake up each morning that week to someone rooting around on my porch.

    management
this is where I'm most frustrated. like I said brook was pretty good, the next rm was heaven and she would not check her emails for weeks and was rude if you came in to try to talk to her in her office. all I wanted was to be sent the lease renewal. if you talk to the office they will tell you to talk to the resident manager creating a never ending circle.
next was Kiro and he seemed helpful enough until my roommate stopped paying rent and skipped town leaving all of her stuff here. I came to him and asked him what I can do because I had been covering rent on my own for months at that point and he just shrugged his shoulders and said there was nothing he can do. if that's true I can understand that but when i finally got her to sign her name off the lease he said i should not be so mad at her because at least she's leaving. that was rude and unprofessional in my opinion.
all that being said you're probably wondering why I'm still here. well in the time that I lived with that roommate I wracked up a bunch of credit card debt just trying to feed myself and now my credit is ruined and I can't afford to move. so no I would not recommend these apartments nor any other properties owned by hill properties. Id rather live in my car.

I really wanted to like this complex. However, the cons began to outweigh way the pros. I was captured by the lush courtyard and the idea of a 2 bed 2 bath. Before I moved into my unit I was shown a sample unit which was fairly nice that was set aside for viewings. This was very misleading

When I first moved in I noticed there were messy paint jobs such as hair being painted over, chipped paint, paint spilling on the floor as well as on the doors.

The doors also had many scratches, holes and overall very outdated. Some of the doors don't even open or close properly unless its done with force.

The floors are unfinished. When I moved in I was told maintenance would come in soon to complete the flooring. Months went by and I notified the manager that I was promised that the floors would be fixed. They went on to tell me that they won't proceed to finishing my floors. Ridiculous! Another thing about the flooring is that it was very poorly done and outdated. Most of it is lifting separating from the real floors itself along with the carpet.

My screen doors and windows have holes from the previous tenant which management never bothered to fix.

Mold! Dear lord there is so much mold that was painted over and is slowly showing up again. My apartment always smells musty and has always been an issue since I moved in but nothing seems to be done about it.

Knobs and door handles were very loose when I moved in and yet nothing was done about prior to me moving in. My counter was legit falling off when I had first moved in it was fixed but it took them a while to fix. Along with the counter there was a huge missing piece. I asked for it to be fixed but they refused to fix it. Appliances are very outdated like I mean OLD and barely functioning!!

Parking! Parking is a pain. People have parked in my assigned spot multiple times and there seems to be an issue with there not being enough parking. There are car ports however on my side mine were outdated and rotting. They were removed but they never replaced it with new carports so our cars sit under the hot sun.

The trash/ dumpster is disgusting. Very messy and always random people going through them at night.

Solicitors. I've walked out of my apartment/ unit and come to find a homeless man hanging out in the outdoor hallway. Lots of random people solicit the complex. Making it feel very unsafe.

Management is very irresponsible . Such as the previous landlords. The very first landlord in 2022-2023 would throw parties at their unit late at night. They would play loud music and their guests were very loud I could hear them across the courtyard while I was trying to sleep. And yes the walls are very thin here too. Paper thin.

There is constant trash on the courtyard that would sit for weeks. Along with people who don't pick up after their dogs.

The laundry room is a nightmare. It's very dirty. The machines never work, almost always broken and double charge your card bc of bad card reading. The washers are dirty and leave my clothes stained with blue spots and dirt. The dryers are very outdated. When it rains water leaks from the ceiling causing a big hole that reappears every year.

Most of the lightening throughout the complex does not work which makes it seem very dark and unsafe at night.

The pool is also very outdated and there are paint chipping and stains throughout the pool floor.
