Gateway Apartments

This apartment complex is the biggest scam in Chico, I had moved in with a friend, and made sure to say in my application, no pets, no smoking, and not coed. A later addition roommate moved in, hid a puppy from leasing, which are the entire house, and defecated all over the entire house, to the point where it was destroyed, the entire time I had been letting leasing know about everything, with pictures, and dates. I would come in to check and see if any progress had been made on anything, and they would say they "misplaced" my documents and that they had no evidence of my previous documentations, wow pretty convenient right? After I literally have dated pictures sent to they're office phone, with they're responses, scams. Next, this roommate moved in a bunch of homeless kids who smoked and lived off our dollar in the place, further causing damage to the place, they threatened our lives and had weapons in the house, we reported this to leasing, and they took no interest, and told us we needed mail to prove they were living there, absolutely terrifying living conditions which they did nothing about. So, if you think this place is nice because they don't need a guarantor, and what not, they will suck any last penny out of you and your deposit, and not support the residents, they will not evict anyone for any reason so that they can keep the security deposits of all parties in the apartment, and lie they're way out of any situation, I recommend to any potential new leasers to stay far far away from this horrible establishment, take care.
